Traffic Engineer

Our client, a growing and locally headquartered Civil Engineering firm, has an immediate opening for a full-time Traffic Engineer in Indianapolis, IN. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Your Responsibilities:Technical analysis using SynchroSimTraffic software, Highway Capacity Software, Sidra, VISSIM, VISUM, and other traffic engineering analysis software.Perform traffic impact studies, capacity analysis, traffic modeling, traffic forecasting, signal timing and warrant analyses, corridor analysis, and crash analyses.Perform traffic engineering field work such as investigations and inspections of existing site conditions, roadways, intersections, signage, signals, etc. to be used in traffic analysis.Prepare reports detailing data, analyses, conclusions, and recommendations using visualizations such as tables, charts, and figures for clients.Qualifications:Minimum Requirements:BSCEPassed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (or soon to take)Preferred Qualifications:Experience with the following traffic engineering softwares:SynchroSimTrafficHighway Capacity SoftwareSIDRAVissimVisumFamiliar with the procedures and methodologies published within:ITE Trip Generation HandbookHighway Capacity ManualMUTCD Compensation & Benefits:Compensation:Competitive annual base salaryBenefits:Health Insurance (Company pays 90% of employee health insurance premiums)Life Insurance and Long TermShort Term DisabilityOption to self-fund a Health Savings Account401(k) with company match and immediate vestingAccess to an Enhanced Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Flexible ScheduleGenerous PTO package including your birthday offAccess to onsite fitness centerAnnual company outings
