Network Telecom SpecialistHybrid: Raleigh, NC Long Term ContractWe are seeking a highly skilled Network Telecom SpecialistExpert to function as a Tier 3 IT Architect Systems Administrator II within the Integrated Network Services unit for a state government client. The ideal candidate will provide advanced technical support and solutions, bridging the gap between infrastructure, network operations, and endpoint security management. This role will focus on managing MS Windows systems, network hardware, remote endpoint support, and ensuring infrastructure security and operational excellence.This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with 2-3 days onsite each week, and requires the ability to manage high-complexity projects involving multiple resources and timelines.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Support and Troubleshooting:Act as a Tier 3 specialist, resolving complex issues related to MS Windows systems, network hardware, software, and endpoint management terface between technical teams, support personnel, and customers to provide resolution for infrastructure, security, and application-related problems.Manage the troubleshooting of remote endpoint management systems and enterprise security applications.System Administration and Operations:Plan, install, configure, deploy, patch, and tune Windows-based systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.Develop and execute scripts to automate system and network processes, enhancing operational efficiencySupport the Consumer Platforms Infrastructure Operations unit, managing software and hardware lifecycles.Endpoint Security and Configuration Management:Implement and manage enterprise endpoint security tools to protect systems and mitigate vulnerabilitiesOversee infrastructure configuration and ensure compliance with established security policies and standards.Project Management and Leadership:Lead technical projects, manage timelines, allocate resources, and oversee personnel to ensure smooth execution and delivery.Develop and maintain process and procedure documentation, ensuring alignment with best practices and regulatory requirementsProvide guidance and supervision to junior staff, driving successful project outcomes and implementation efforts.QualificationsProven experience as a Systems Administrator or Network Specialist with expertise in managing MS Windows environments and network infrastructure.Strong understanding of endpoint security tools, remote management systems, and enterprise applications.Expertise in scripting for automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and system configuration.Experience managing network hardware and troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues.Ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in public sector IT environments or working with government agencies.Knowledge of ITIL processes and change management frameworks.Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and hybrid systems management.Certifications in Microsoft Systems Administration or network technologies (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+)This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your expertise in systems administration, networking, and endpoint security to support the mission-critical operations of a state government agency.
