Position Overview:We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Landscape Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning, designing, and managing landscape architecture projects, with a strong preference for those who have worked on projects involving the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from urban streetscapes to transportation infrastructure, while enhancing the aesthetic and functional aspects of our environment.Key Responsibilities:Develop and manage landscape architecture designs for transportation, infrastructure, and urban development projects, with a focus on FDOT standards.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, planners, and environmental specialists, to integrate landscape design into transportation and development projects.Prepare conceptual, schematic, and detailed designs, including planting plans, hardscape plans, and construction documents.Ensure compliance with FDOT standards, specifications, and guidelines in all phases of design and implementation.Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies, including evaluating environmental impacts, soil conditions, and site-specific constraints.Coordinate with clients, contractors, and government agencies to ensure successful project execution from concept to completion.Participate in the permitting process, ensuring that all designs meet regulatory requirements.Provide input and recommendations on landscape design strategies that enhance the sustainability, safety, and aesthetics of transportation projects.Stay updated with industry trends, FDOT standards, and innovative landscape architecture practices.Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.Licensed Landscape Architect or ability to obtain licensure within a specified time.Minimum of [X] years of professional experience in landscape architecture, with a strong preference for experience working on FDOT projects.Proficiency in FDOT standards, guidelines, and processes.Strong design and technical skills, with proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, and other landscape architecture software.Experience in preparing construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in transportation projects, including highways, roadways, and multimodal infrastructure.Familiarity with FDOT's environmental and permitting processes.Knowledge of sustainable landscape design practices and green infrastructure.What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity to work on high-impact, large-scale projects.A collaborative and supportive work environment.Continuing education and professional development opportunities.
