Star Catcher Industries, Inc., located in Jacksonville, FL, has an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to support the development of space-to-space power beaming spacecraft and the Star Catcher Network, its orbital power grid. This role will be responsible for design, analysis, and implementation of electrical systems and components used on spacecraft, satellites, and other space-related technologies. Responsibilities:Designing electrical circuits and systems, including power distribution, communication, and control systems.Developing and testing prototypes of electrical components and systems to verify their performance and reliability.Overseeing the manufacturing and assembly of electrical components and working with suppliers and manufacturers to procure parts, ensuring they meet design specifications and quality standards.Engaging in R&D to innovate new technologies or improve existing systems to enhance mission capabilities.Working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems and components into spacecraft, satellites, and other systems and ensuring that materials are compatible with design specifications and operational requirements.Creating technical documentation, including schematics, specifications, and test plans, to support compliance and future reference.Managing project timelines, resources, and budgets related to electrical engineering tasks.Ideal Experience:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.At least five years of electrical engineering experience, with experience specifically in space power systems.Experience leading the development of electrical systems for challenging environments and missions.Experience with NASADoD life cycle and technical reviews (e.g. SRR, PDR, CDR).Creative problem-solving skills, with the capability to develop innovative solutions to advanced engineering challenges.Desired skills:Proven experience with one or more of the following on at least one space vehicle program: batteries, solar arrays, power distribution, power conversion.Strong background in electrical analysis techniques.Familiarity with space industry regulations, safety standards relevant to space missions and operations.Effective communication skills with the ability to interface with the team and organization and prioritize tasks, projects, and personnel from a variety of disciplines.Help us deploy and scale space infrastructure that will drive our utilization of space forward!
