Akkodis is seeking a Mid-Level Developer (React & .NET) for a contract position with one of our direct clients which is based in Lenexa, KS (Remote but local candidates).Pay Rate Range: $40-50hr. on w2 (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)RESPONSIBILITIESSystem and product design:Considers the customer's perspective and experiences when designing systemsLeads and participates in the architectural design of features early in the development cycle, influencing it to drive quality and adherence to the specificationResponsible for producing quality designs that ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, flexibility, and extensibilityLeads the Team in establishing program specifications and develops coding logic flowcharts in compliance with secure coding standardsSolution Execution:Work with Product Owners to translate roadmap features into manageable componentstasks, estimate timings and resources, suggest solutions, and identify possible risksBuild quality directly into the engineering processes and solutions by championing automated testing and test-driven developmentWrites and coaches the team on writing clean well thought out design and code with an emphasis on quality, simplicity, and maintainabilityWorks within established procedures and tools to develop, test, code review, implement, and maintain application software while focusing on best practice application security throughout the code life cycleCommunicates effectively and partners well with other disciplines of the project team to deliver high-quality solutions from vision to deployment and long-term product stabilityLeadership:Primary technical point of contact and communicator with stakeholders such as the sponsor, product managerowner, scrum master, project teams, and upper managementResponsible for managing the delivery of committed work for the teamRole model to Kiewit Technology Group's Values; Make us better, make someone's job easier, and deliver measurable valueLearn new technologies keep abreast of existing technologies and be able to apply these to a variety of projects as applicableMentors more junior developersQUALIFICATIONSBachelors andor master's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Information Technology or Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience3+ Years of Senior Software Engineering experience3+ Years of experience building software using OOP practices3+ years of experience with Agile, Test Driven Development or related lifecycle methodologies3+ years of React Development experienceStrong understanding of emerging technologies, standards, and best practices for .Net developmentExperience with database design and programmingExperience with Web ServicesExperience with UX and User Centric Design (UCD)Must be able to work in a complex, dynamic team environment with minimal supervision and possess good organizational skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and documentation skillsSome travel may be requiredAdditional SkillsExperience with component libraries Kendo UI, AgGrid, and Ant DesignExperience with Design patterns, SOA design, and experience with Volatility-Based Decomposition and iDesignExperience with SQL ServerAzure SQLExperience with the Azure ecosystem.
