With multiple new long-term project wins, they are expanding their well-established Rail System Team. Your New Role: As an Overhead Contact Systems Design Engineer, you will report directly to the Vice President and play a pivotal role in developing designs for significant projects such as the Portal North Bridge, Gateway Program, Penn Station, and various Northeast Corridor Amtrak initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with rail agencies to identify essential design solutions for overhead catenary systems. Design and develop overhead contact systems for railway and transit projects. Liaise with OCS hardware manufacturers to offer clients the latest technological advancements, including insulators, brackets, automatic tensioning devices, surge arresters, and contact wire heating devices. Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather necessary data for design. Work with project managers, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of OCS designs. Provide expert assistance to contractors during the installation phase to optimize methods and deliver high-quality solutions, and during the testing and commissioning phase to ensure progress to schedule and rigorous testing and recording of OCS installation. What You'll Need to Succeed: Proven experience in designing overhead contact systems. Strong collaboration skills with various stakeholders. Ability to conduct detailed site surveys and assessments. Expertise in liaising with hardware manufacturers and integrating advanced technologies.
