H&S Family of Bakeries The H&S Family of Bakeries are a network of 10 bakeries and multiple distribution centers along the East Coast, all committed to one thing: producing the best quality bread products possible. H&S Family of Bakeries includes Northeast Foods, H&S Bakery and Schmidt Baking Co. Together, our baked goods can be found in a wide range of establishments, from fast food and quick-service restaurants to cafeterias, hospitals, grocery stores and universities. The Director of IT will lead the strategic and operational functions of the IT department, aligning technology initiatives with business objectives. This role will play a critical part in managing IT operations across manufacturing and distribution environments, ensuring seamless network services, system uptime, and security. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business analysis, project management, and IT system implementations, particularly in ERP systems, with Infor M3/MIT M Cloud as a key focus. Role & Responsibilities IT Strategy & Policy Development: Develop and implement IT policies, systems, and strategies aligned with business goals. Identify and recommend upgrades, configurations, and new technology solutions to meet organizational needs. Provide strategic guidance to upper management regarding technology trends and solutions. Vendor and Contract Management: Build strong relationships with technology vendors and create cost-effective contracts. Manage all IT-related purchases, including software, equipment, and maintenance agreements. Approve vendor invoices and manage coding for IT-related expenses. IT Operations Management: Lead and supervise a team of 8 IT professionals, handling recruitment, performance management, and employee concerns. Ensure 24/7/365 support availability for end-users and the IT team. Oversee the organization's help desk ticketing system and maintain timely issue resolution. Maintain the company's security key fob system and oversee VoIP telephone systems and the wide-area network. Manage and approve timesheets for IT staff and vendor invoices. ERP Migration and Project Management: Serve as the Project Manager for the Infor M3/MIT M Cloud ERP migration. Collaborate with external consulting companies to ensure smooth ERP migration processes. Coordinate meetings, tasks, and material delivery timelines to keep projects on track. Lead IT projects involving software and hardware implementation from conception to delivery. Network and Data Security: Ensure network services are available with minimal downtime. Oversee data availability and implement disaster recovery plans where necessary. Ensure compliance with cybersecurity protocols across the organization. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (master's preferred). Strong background in business analysis, particularly in manufacturing or distribution environments. Extensive experience with ERP systems, especially Infor M3/MIT M Cloud. Proven track record of IT project management, including hardware and software implementations. Hands-on experience managing a help desk and network systems. Strong vendor management experience with a focus on cost-efficient contracts. Familiarity with VoIP systems, security key fob systems, and WAN management. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments. What's in it for you?
