Quality Control Technician

Title: Quality Control Technician Location: Addison, IL Shift: Multiple openings including both 1st and 2nd shift Our Client: Our client is a well established CNC machining facility with over 30 years of history. Quality Control Technician  Responsibilities: Verifies compliance with work standards and customer requirements Pays particular attention to the timeliness and accuracy of work performed Screens documents to determine accuracy of data contained within and initiates corrective action as necessary Keeps various logs and uses random sampling to evaluate process efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness Responsible for recognizing problems that might invalidate samples, investigating complaints, reviewing violations found by personnel, and preparing reports of findings and actions needed or taken Recommends changes that will improve shop processes with an eye toward improving quality and reducing non-conforming product Performance of in-process inspection of machined parts in support of multiple machines and documentation of same Assist CNC operators as needed to support in-process inspection of machined parts Other duties as assigned Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent 2 years minimum mechanical quality inspection or related experience Working knowledge of the Geometric Dimension & Tolerancing System Working knowledge of precision measuring equipment and metrology tools (Optical Comparator, micrometers, calipers, gages, etc.). Capability of reading and interpreting mechanical drawings Strong Mathematical aptitude.
