INTRODUCTION The Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) provides death, disability, and pension retirement benefits to employees of local governments and school districts in Illinois (with the exception of the City of Chicago and Cook County). The Technical Solution Integration Analyst is responsible for technical and business integration points of the pension administration solution (Horizon). Staff in this position: • Is responsible for the integrations of one or more components of the pension administration solution (GP Dynamics, Ariel Payroll, Ariel Pension, CRM Dynamics, ECM FileNet, External Portals, External System and Provider Interfaces, Data Warehouse - except Telephony components) • Collaborates with project teams on the design, verification, and implementation of new business solutions purchased by IMRF • Provides support for commercial off the shelf (COTS) products, IMRF custom applications, and data migrations • Creates and maintains custom reports, dashboards, and correspondence. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Understands the architecture, performance, and support model of enterprise business applications of the Horizon solution • Manages the overall ongoing integrated technical support of Horizon Solution • Works with the Business Solution Leads and Technical Leads to resolve reported technical incidents, including: o Technical investigation of backend system o Investigates and supports resolution of network issues o Assess business impact (e.g., identify impacted population) o Provides workaround if applicable • Ensures communications concerning technical issues are clear and informative • Participates in the analysis of technical changes for the Horizon Solution or internal process improvements • Escalates issues as applicable to Technical Lead • Integrates new development (correspondence, reports, dashboards, other via APIs approved by vendor, etc.) into COTS solution as needed following standard application development procedures • Participates in projects for new enterprise business application acquisitions • Maintains and modifies system configuration data, and/or other key system elements • Provides data requested to support business operations • Provides user support for designated business applications • Prepares detailed task-level estimates for project assignments (level of effort (LOE)) for development, testing, and implementation • Works with QA Analyst to validate UAT and production builds • Collaborates with technical counterparts and contracted vendors • Works with QA analyst and LWRK to validate new releases of the Pension administration solution to ensure alignment with IMRF business requirements • Responsible for completing and delivering work in a manner that is accurate and timely per established project plans and deliverable milestones • Follows IMRF application maintenance standard operating procedures • Performs other technical and administrative duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities • This position does not have direct reports • Must be able to review the technical work and analysis of other Technical Solution Integration Analysts • May have to lead a small (1-3 person) team for specific project assignment • May have to assign and monitor specific "unit of effort" or grouping of tasks for a specific project assignment. SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is a plus. • Development experience that includes at least one of the following platforms and must be relevant to the position. In addition, basic working knowledge of at least one other platform is desirable: o .NET Programming () o Web (Java / Windows / SQL) including object-oriented design patterns and construction techniques and RDBMS concepts o PC / Windows including MS Office and VB Requirements for this position Five years total programming experience in business applications including two years analysis and design experience in 3 or more business applications using a systems development life cycle methodology plus one of the following degrees: 1. B.S. Computer Science 2. Master's degree in Information Systems 3.
