Description Join our team as a Spacecraft Launch and Initiation Engineer to provide systems engineering and technical assistance within the Electro-Optical System Program Office (ESPO) at the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). In this role, you will lead activities associated with the launch and initialization of an Electro-Optical spacecraft, developing launch procedures, defining initialization tasks, and performing engineering and analysis of on-orbit check-out results. Responsibilities: Develop interface requirements impacting launch procedures in collaboration with the spacecraft launch team Create procedures and update documents for day-of-launch Government decision making and spacecraft operations Interface with operators and spacecraft product customer to develop spacecraft handover success criteria Lead recurring meetings to track development of test plans, procedures, and engineering/analysis tools Coordinate post-launch activities to monitor and evaluate initialization tasks Review and assess on-orbit spacecraft engineering analysis results to provide recommendations for anomaly resolution and mission performance enhancements Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in spacecraft initialization BS in Engineering Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance 5+ years of experience with on-orbit anomaly resolution processes 5+ years of experience in spacecraft operations, engineering, and analysis or product quality analysis Apply now for this exciting opportunity and be part of our vital team!
