Our Customer is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the design and development of innovative control solutions for advanced robotics and electromechanical systems. This position will be responsible for designing system architectures based on requirements, leveraging analyses and simulations, designing and developing PCBs, and integrating solutions into our products. The ideal candidate will have experience in both analog and digital circuit design and be proficient in collaborating across mechanical and controls engineering teams. Key Responsibilities: Circuit Development : Own the complete circuit development process, including specifications analysis, simulation, design (schematic & layout), programming, prototyping, testing, and documentation. PCB Design and Testing : Design, test, and troubleshoot PCBs for robotics and electromechanical systems. Manage rework and prototyping as needed. System Integration : Integrate and troubleshoot electrical components into robots and other electromechanical systems, ensuring high reliability and performance. Collaboration : Work closely with mechanical and controls engineers on electrical/thermal/packaging design, integration, and testing. Vendor Management : Collaborate with external suppliers for PCB layout, fabrication, assembly, and testing. Algorithm Development : Develop and implement algorithms for microprocessors and CPLDs for various control systems. Compliance and Safety : Ensure designs adhere to regulatory standards and safety guidelines for industrial applications. Must-Haves: Education : Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Experience : 10+ years in industrial electrical engineering with experience in board/PCB design, testing, and troubleshooting. Hands-On Skills : Demonstrated hands-on hardware/lab equipment/soldering skills and experience. Software Proficiency : Expert-level proficiency in OrCAD, PADS, or similar design tools. Circuit Design : Extensive experience in digital and analog circuit design, simulations, troubleshooting, and testing. Motor Control : Experience with 3-phase motor control, servo and stepper motor systems, and relevant control algorithms. Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document processes and provide technical insights. Desired Skills: Experience in Ethernet, EtherCAT, power electronics, and thermal management. Familiarity with Matlab, SBCs, boost circuits, TI c2000 family, and resonant circuits. Proficiency with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, DAQs, and digital loads. Understanding of SEMI S9, F47, and KCs standards.
