Department Summary: Join our team at MITRE, a company committed to making a difference in fields like cybersecurity, healthcare, aviation, and defense. We are seeking a Lead IAM Engineer to support the Army Mission Command Networks team in establishing a global, scalable, and robust capability. The role involves prototyping, architecting, and applying modern ICAM technologies, developing strategies for cloud, on-premises, and tactical environments, and working at the intersection of Cybersecurity and AI. If you have 8+ years of experience, a Secret level security clearance, and a desire to contribute to impactful work, we encourage you to apply. This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site work. Roles & Responsibilities: Provide thought leadership in secure ICAM system design Engage with technical experts within MITRE and from Department of Defense (DoD) and the Intelligence Community (IC) Deliver deep technical expertise to our sponsors on cryptography and related areas Coordinate with the government sponsors to identify cybersecurity requirements and design alternatives Work closely with security assessment teams to ensure compliance with ICAM security standards Propose and lead new research into novel approaches to secure system design Basic Qualifications: Minimum of 8 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience Possess and maintain a minimum of Secret level security clearance Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written/verbal communications skills Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, cyber security, electrical engineering, or similar field and 8+ years of experience Active Top Secret/SCI level security clearance Desire to specify and execute independent research applicable to our government sponsors' problems Work Location Type: Hybrid MITRE is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
