The CDL Truck Driver at ArborWorks is responsible for operating and maintaining bucket trucks to assist in tree care services such as pruning, trimming, and removal. This role involves working closely with the tree care team to ensure safe and efficient tree care operations. The Bucket Truck Driver plays a critical role in safely positioning the truck and bucket for optimal reach while adhering to all safety protocols and regulations. Additionally, the driver may assist with other tree care tasks as needed. This is a year-round position. Responsibilities: Bucket Truck Operation: • Safely operate and maneuver the bucket truck to access trees for pruning, trimming, and removal. • Position the bucket to allow tree care professionals to safely perform their work at various heights. • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of the bucket truck, ensuring it is in good working condition before and after use. • Adhere to all safety guidelines and traffic regulations when driving and operating the bucket truck on job sites and public roads. • Ability to drive 10/18 speed manual trucks Job Site Coordination: • Work closely with the tree care team to position the bucket truck in a way that allows for efficient and safe operations. • Communicate effectively with ground crew and other team members to ensure smooth and coordinated job site operations. • Assist with the setup of work zones, including the use of cones, signs, and barriers to ensure public and team safety. Tree Care Assistance: • When not operating the bucket truck, assist the tree care crew with ground support, such as clearing debris, operating chainsaws, and handling other equipment as needed. • Participate in the clean-up of job sites after tree work is completed, ensuring the site is left in good condition. Safety & Compliance: • Follow all company safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to OSHA standards. • Conduct regular safety checks of the bucket truck and equipment to ensure all tools are in compliance with company and industry safety standards. • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to management immediately.
