Position Overview BizFirst is supporting our client in search of a full-time permanent Acquisition Analyst I / Business Process Analyst. The role involves providing contract closeout support services, ensuring compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). The Acquisition Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to manage and support the contract closeout process, including financial reconciliation, documentation, and reporting. Our client is a specialized management consulting firm that engages experienced professionals and consultants to support the federal government with strategic project execution, financial process optimization, advanced IT solutions, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementation. Through innovative transformations, they develop and implement strategies to optimize operations for military departments and agencies across the U.S. Federal Government. Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation, review, and execution of contract closeout actions, ensuring data accuracy and entry within PRISM (or the current Contract Writing System). Coordinate with vendor program offices, Contracting Officer's Representatives (COR), NGA/OCS personnel, and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate the contract closeout process. Support financial reconciliation efforts, verifying payments, unliquidated obligations (ULOs), and contract funding. Assist in preparing reports, briefings, and spreadsheets to track contract closeout progress and provide updates to management. Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Department of Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS), and NGA regulations throughout the closeout process. Maintain accurate records and documentation for contract closeouts, including archiving of both physical and electronic contract files. Identify opportunities for process improvements in contract closeout procedures and assist in implementing best practices. Support such issues as audits, novations, terminations, property disposition, and complex rate issues on cost contracts where the period of performance had ended. Required Qualifications Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in contract management, acquisition, financial administration, financial reconciliation, or a related field (or 4 years without a degree), with knowledge of federal acquisition regulations, or financial reconciliation. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Management, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Skills: Familiarity with federal acquisition processes and regulations, as well as experience with contract writing systems such as PRISM or similar tools. Desired Skills Experience with close-outs preferred Demonstrated experience in supporting contract closeout actions, financial reconciliations, and federal acquisition regulations. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant software for contract management and reporting. Strong communication skills with the ability to prepare and present clear and concise reports. Analytical mindset with effective problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
