Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Employee Health - Ambulatory Care Nursing Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (5x8 Hr) Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per Week Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience; 2 years of medicine experience License: Valid RN License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: - EPIC experience highly preferred- Excellent organizational skills Job Description: - Patient Care: - Deliver patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship-Centered Care. - Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills in patient care management. - Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the care plan. - Educate patients and caregivers about their care plan, transition of care, health promotion, and disease prevention.- Patient Experience: - Consider patient values, preferences, cultural diversity, and expressed needs in all aspects of care. - Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with the patient and family. - Use evidence-based practices to increase understanding of patients' perceptions of care.- Quality and Safety: - Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying and escalating barriers and opportunities for improvement. - Implement process improvement strategies based on institutional, evidence-based procedures. - Utilize information technology by documenting nursing practice to support quality and performance improvement Operations: - Perform charge nurse duties as assigned. - Coordinate with nursing management to ensure appropriate utilization of supplies and sufficient inventory for patient care. - Demonstrate patient-focused and cost-effective approaches to care concerning equipment, staff, supplies, and other resources.- Professional Development: - Contribute to the environment of care to support clinical colleagues, patients, and healthcare team members. - Advance clinical competence in nursing practice to progress from novice to expert. - Encourage and demonstrate a spirit of scholarship, inquiry, lifelong learning, and innovation for self and others. Education Requirement: - Bachelor of Science with a major in nursing preferred. - Associate degree in nursing is considered only with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN Program.
