Junior Property Manager (Low-Income Housing)

I'm recruiting for my client, who is looking to hire a Junior Property Manager for a portfolio on the Upper West Side of Manhattan focusing on low-income housing.They're looking for someone with 3+ years of property management experience in New York City, ideally with a background in low-income housing programs like Section 8 and HUD. The right candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of handling tenant relations while ensuring compliance with NYC regulations.Responsibilities include:Inspecting and overseeing properties regularlySupporting onsite building staff managementCoordinating repairs, renovations, and unit turnoversEnsuring compliance with Section 8, HUD, and other low-income housing regulationsManaging tenant relations, handling move-insmove-outs, and overseeing building-wide projectsCollaborating with contractors and vendors for property maintenanceHandling NYC Code compliance (HPD, DOB, ECB, etc.)What they're looking for:3+ years of property management experience in NYCFamiliarity with low-income housing programs (Section 8, HUD)Knowledge of HPD, DHCR, and DOB regulationsUnderstanding of building systems (boilers, electrical, plumbing)Proficiency in MS Office and property management software (Yardi Voyager experience is a plus)Salary: $60,000 - $70,000yearBenefits: Health insurance, 401(k)
