Job descriptionDirector of Operations - Stone Countertop ManufacturingLocation: St. Louis, MOSalary: $120,000 - $150,000 + Bonus Graniterra is seeking a highly experienced Director of Operations to lead and oversee the daily operations of our granite, marble and other engineered stone countertop fabrication business, which serves both residential and commercial markets, including large-scale projects such as apartments, hotels, and national clients. This key leadership role will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, overseeing the sales division, managing financial performance, and ensuring customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:Operations Leadership: Oversee all daily operations, including production, quality control, logistics, and scheduling, ensuring seamless execution and meeting customer deadlines.Sales Division Oversight: Lead and collaborate with the sales team to drive business growth, develop new client relationships, and maximize revenue.Financial Accountability: Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, control costs, and ensure profitability targets are met.Strategic Planning: Work with senior leadership to develop and implement long-term strategies for growth, operational efficiency, and market expansion.Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and lead high-performing teams across operations and sales, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.Project Management: Manage commercial and residential projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to customer specifications.KPI Monitoring & Process Improvement: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for process improvements, throughput optimization, and increased profitability.Key Attributes:Leadership & Vision: A natural leader with the ability to set a clear vision and inspire teams to achieve company goals.Financial Acumen: Strong financial management skills, including budget oversight, cost control, and profit margin improvement.Operational Excellence: Expertise in streamlining processes, optimizing throughput, and driving efficiency across all operations.Customer Focus: Ability to maintain high standards of customer service while delivering complex commercial and residential projects on time.Sales-Driven Mindset: Experience managing sales teams, fostering client relationships, and identifying new revenue opportunities.Problem-Solver: Quick decision-making and excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.Strategic Thinker: Ability to contribute to the overall business strategy and identify long-term growth opportunities.Team Builder: Skilled in developing, mentoring, and retaining top talent, while promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture.Qualifications:Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, with a strong background in the construction, fabrication, or manufacturing industries.Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
