Major, Lindsey & Africa's Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for an Interim Corporate Attorney to assist on all corporate governance, M&A, financing and capitalization matters, and employment mattersOverview: Major, Lindsey & Africa is seeking an In-House Corporate AttorneyCompany: A Consumer-Packaged Goods CompanyExperience: At least 5-8+ Years of Experience handling Employee Relations matters at an In-House Corporation.Location: NYC Hybrid (2-3 days per week in office ideal).Responsibilities Include: Serving as a key business partner and advisor to the Enterprise functions, including People, M&A Group, Technology, Finance, Strategy and Investor RelationsAdvising and counseling on key corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing transactions and other major corporate transactions and initiatives Providing legal advice on corporate governance matters, including supporting the Company's board of directors and its committeesAdvising on employment-related and equity matters in close collaboration with the People team Advising on enterprise-wide data privacy matters in close collaboration with the Technology team Qualifications:Juris Doctorate and Admission to practice in any State.5-7+ years of relevant corporate and commercial experience, including in-house experienceExperience across a broad range of legal matters, including M&A and other major corporate transactions, corporate governance, employment matters and data privacy matters Clear communicator, with excellent legal and non-legal communications skillsExperience in Consumer-Packaged Goods is a plus.Sound judgment and the ability to provide appropriately risk-calibrated advice and guidance, and to deliver flexible and business-oriented solutionsAbility to spot and proactively address over-the-horizon issues and roadblocks that could impede or slow down attaining corporate objectivesAbility to inspire and foster a culture of transparency, collaboration and accountability between the Enterprise legal team and its cross-functional partnersOrganized and detail-oriented approach to workload.
