Audition Monitor (Part time)

Actors' Equity Association, the union of professional theater actors and stage managers in the United States, is hiring part-time Audition Monitors in its New York office. The Audition Monitors will be responsible individuals who will provide a high-quality and organized audition experience. This position is part time, Mon -Fri., and depends on auditions scheduled. Responsibilities: Work with actors, casting personnel, and others to facilitate the smooth running of Equity auditions. Ensure that all rules governing audition procedures are followed. Effectively organize and maintain audition materials. Represent Equity at auditions and calmly and courteously enforce rules as necessary. Must be reliable and show up on time as scheduled. Knowledge and Skills Excellent customer services and verbal communication skills required. Ability to learn and retain complex rules governing auditions. Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills Ability to problem-solve and stay focused in a fast-paced environment Must be comfortable speaking publicly Ability to remain composed and respond appropriately to varied personalities.
