The MMC Global Mobility Department is seeking candidates for the following remote position : Global Mobility Specialist This position is for an established professional individual contributor in Global Mobility with a focus in Immigration. This role provides expertise and acts as a point of contact for all Operating Companies across MarshMcLennan in the area of Domestic Relocation (US) and Immigration (US & Canada). What can you expect? Support the HR community and Company with the Immigration processes identified as appropriate for the centralized operations model, through process and policy discussions with Mobility team members, HRBPs, People Managers, MMC Legal, Employee Relations, MMC's Political Action Committee, Dept. of State Inquiries for contractor verification, business leaders and employees; responsibilities include but are not limited to consultation on immigration inquiries about status updates, strategy, next steps, employee travel to support new visa issuance, visa extensions, case management, documentation gathering, form and/or questionnaire preparation, peer review, initiation with immigration vendor, escalation, and issue resolution. Provide support as needed for office closures, legal entity changes, reductions in force. Provide guidance to Talent Acquisition, HR colleagues, & People Managers on hiring decisions affecting candidates requiring immigration support. Coordinate all immigration postings, tracking and files involved with the immigration process. Supports immigration vendor in coordinating physical PERM Notice postings with applicable work location Facilities Leader. Manage the annual H1B Cap Lottery process with coordination with immigration vendor, HR colleagues, People Managers and employees. Involves extensive information distribution, documentation gathering, employee data verification in Workday, case tracking on Master spreadsheet, follow through to new H1B visa approvals. Coordinates tasks involving consultation, case management, documentation gathering, form and/or questionnaire preparation, peer review, initiation with relocation vendor, escalation, policy exception monitoring, issue resolution as it relates to US Domestic Relocation. Acts as the subject matter expert to Mobility COE, HRBPs and Finance in the area of expense tracking and appropriate coding for domestic relocation invoices and immigration expenses. Approves monthly immigration invoices for business via internal Passport system. Tracks and manages databases linked to centralized processes including domestic relocation and immigration for purposes of metrics/data reporting and historical data retention. Ensures required and appropriate documentation for all domestic relocation and visa initiations are sent to Service Center for uploading into employee electronic personnel files. Provides administration of state trailing tax obligations associated with incentive compensation (US Payroll and Executive Compensation). What you need to have: Bachelor's Degree required A minimum of 3 years of US Immigration experience is required, preferred 5 years Experience with Canada Immigration programs a big plus Experience working on a US Domestic Mobility Programs a plus Knowledge of Workday and Equus' AssignmentPro a plus. Experience in immigration vendor coordination What makes you stand out US Immigration coordination experience, preferably within a multinational organization. Extensive knowledge of US immigration including understanding of various visa types including H1-B, L1-A, L1-B, E3, TN and the H1B Cap Lottery program and F1 Student visa. Knowledge of the US Green Card process including the PERM process Ability to work effectively in a multi-national, global team environment. Solid quantitative and analytical skills. Cross cultural sensitivity required. Ability to service demanding clientele in a fast-paced environment and on a global scale. Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload. Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills - strong customer service skills a must.
