Summary: The Process Engineer is responsible for conducting research, development, documentation, qualification, and implementation of production processes for both standard and custom packaged semiconductor products. Ensuring stable manufacturing processes during the prototype phase and transitioning them smoothly to production. Responsibilities: Lead the transfer of process technology from the Process Engineering department to Manufacturing Develop robust production processes using Design of Experiments (DOEs) Establish validation and verification criteria for new processes and products Create and update documentation detailing production processes Provide engineering support to facilitate production processes and troubleshoot issues in assembly areas Collaborate with the Design Engineering team regarding process capabilities, materials, and review new products to ensure they meet Design for Manufacturing (DFM) criteria Identify, facilitate, and prioritize opportunities for process improvements Perform or assist with operations to maintain workflow and meet schedules and quality requirements M aintain a safe work area and comply with safety procedures, ensuring the area is clean and orderly Participate in meetings and work groups to integrate cross-functional activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and stay informed about new developments, requirements, and policies Comply with all quality and ITAR policies, practices, and procedures Communicate effectively with all levels of employees Protect confidential information by not disclosing it to or using it for the benefit of third parties Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent 4-year technical degree, or 4-6 years of combined education and experience 3 years of related manufacturing experience Courses and/or experience with CAD and SolidWorks software Knowledge of PADS and CAM350 software is a plus Generate / modify technical documents using CAD and Excel (experience with PCB software is a plus) Ability to design tools / fixtures with minimal guidance Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks in line with business goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Team player who enjoys working with different disciplines Experience in SMT process development for both leaded and lead-free assemblies Knowledge of military standards Mil-PRF-38535 / Mil-PRF-38534 is a plus Familiarity with Mil-STD-883 / Mil-STD-750 test methods and related equipment (e.g., wire bond, die attach, furnace) is a plus Experience with automatic assembly equipment for wire bonding and die attach is a plus
