Position: Backend Developer (Java & Microservices)Location: New York, NY (Once a week on-site)("US citizens and Green Card Holders and those authorized to work in the US are encouraged to apply. Our systems handle massive amounts of data every second, which requires us to build and maintain a high-performance backend infrastructure.Role Overview: As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our backend systems that manage media content distribution and data-heavy applications. You will work on scalable systems that process real-time data and high volumes of content across various platforms.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain backend systems using Java and Microservices architecture.Work on optimizing and scaling systems to handle large datasets and real-time data processing.Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to integrate user-facing elements.Implement data streaming and processing solutions using Kafka, Spark, Hadoop to manage and distribute high-volume content.Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend services for maximum performance.Required Skills:Strong experience with Java and building Microservices.Experience with data processing tools such as Kafka, Spark, Hadoop.Proficiency in working with large datasets and optimizing for performance in a data-heavy environment.Familiarity with RESTful APIs, cloud platforms, and SQLNoSQL databases.Knowledge of media streaming technologies is a plus.Experience:8+ years of experience as a Backend Developer working with Java and microservices.Prior experience with data-heavy environments or media-related projects is highly desirable.Benefits:Competitive salary and benefits.Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in the media industry.
