Job Type Full-time Description TITLE: Data Entry Clerk HOURS: Monday 1am- 9am, Tuesday 2:30am-10:30am, OFF on Wednesday, Thursday-Saturday 2:30am-10:30am. Subject to change. DEPARTMENT: Sales Department REPORTS TO: Customer Service Manager POSITION SUMMARY: J.J. McDonnell is seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Associate to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for entering and confirming data, supporting customer service, and assisting with returns/credits. The ideal candidate is organized, has a keen eye for accuracy, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. If you are looking for an opportunity to grow with a respected company, we invite you to apply. Enter all outbound orders accurately. Verify that data inputted is correct and logical. Log data times and send active reports. Support transportation and operations to ensure trucks are dispatched on time. Enter and verify customer data in their POS systems. Perform suggestive selling to current customers. Answer customer calls promptly and professionally, escalating issues as needed. Take customer messages and orders appropriately. This will involve escalating calls and/or issues to the appropriate individual or department. Attend to will-call customers. Update changes to customer order guides (in Seasoft) under the supervision or request of the account manager. Updating customer price sheets as scheduled or as needed. Compile and analyze sales data. Develop product knowledge and market information to continually increase knowledge of the industry and pricing rationale. OTHER DUTIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: •Support customer service and sales department with special projects as assigned. Requirements DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: •High School Diploma (Bachelor's Degree is a plus). •Three to five years of progressively responsible, related experience in a position of comparable scope and size to the Company. •Ability to learn Seasoft and other POS systems. •Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. •Excellent problem solving and organizational skills. •Excellent verbal and written communications skills. •Able to transfer attention from one task to another frequently without affecting performance. Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: •Able to notice potential errors, verify and resolve. •Able to identify and resolve pricing inconsistencies associated with multiple types of pricing methods. •Able to manage a large volume of detailed work with accuracy. •Must have great attention to detail with minimal supervision. •Must have excellent telephone skills and etiquette. •Must be able to read and write in English. •Able to work flexible hours as needed.
