This intern will work on region, business, or channel-specific marketing projects, helping to execute with a strategic marketing approach. The Marketing Specialist Intern will collaborate with the team members to gain hands-on experience and deliver world-class marketing that aligns with the company's goals. Union Home Mortgage's L.E.A.D Internship Program's goal is to provide a fun, interesting, and real-world environment for our interns to Learn about the industry, be Educated by Sr. Leadership and their peers, Achieve their personal goals and Develop their skills and knowledge base. We pride ourselves in providing innovative programs for our interns in order for them to learn and grow they progress through their careers. Some of the programs we offer include: shadowing, mentoring, professional development, group projects and we even take our interns on corporate outings! Our internship program gives students a chance to meet new people, gain more experience, and learn from the best in the business! Our interns are treated like full-time Partners who work 40 hours a week during the 3-month summer program, are compensated, and based out of headquarters in Strongsville, Ohio. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with assigned brand and corporate marketing requests, contributing creative input and operational support Provide support to the marketing team by listening to feedback, collaborating, and brainstorming to resolve issues and deliver high-quality marketing results. Support presentations of findings and ideas to the marketing team and occasionally to senior leadership, effectively communicating project progress and partner feedback. Help manage multiple tasks and deadlines, gaining an understanding of available resources. Contribute to the creation of marketing content, including social media posts, blog articles, flyers, and other digital or print collateral. Update project files and maintain data in marketing systems, including CRM tools, social media platforms, and websites. Follow established marketing processes and recommend new ideas or areas for improvement based on experience. Participate in team brainstorming to develop strategic and innovative marketing solutions for the company. Assist in proofreading and ensuring that all content aligns with brief objectives and meets company quality standards. Qualifications SKILLS REQUIRED Marketing Skills and Tools - basic knowledge of content development, graphic design experience (a plus); familiarity with digital tools such as CRM, email marketing, social media, social media scheduling tools, website publishing tools (CMS) or analytics. Project Management Skills - ability to assist in managing scope, deadlines, leveraging resources, collaborating effectively with other Partners while learning to meet or exceed deadlines. Communications Skills - Strong verbal and written skills for clarifying tasks, providing updates, and ensuring work aligns with goals. Organizational Skills - Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Interpersonal Skills - Positive and collaborative attitude, working well with diverse teams and partners across departments. Initiative - eagerness to learn new skills and proactive approach to seeking resources to achieve goals. Positivity + Patience - optimistic outlook and willingness to be an integral part of a powerful team EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or relevant marketing-specific internship experience Involvement in marketing-related projects with on-campus organizations, clubs, or off-campus groups is desirable Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and positions are open until filled (this may be prior to the job posting expiration date).
