Data Connects Us. **About the Role:** Confluent is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting who embraces and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role will take ownership of the completion of different SEC reporting deliverables and help scale the SEC reporting process at Confluent. In addition, this role will be the technical accounting subject matter expert, build and maintain the Company's accounting policies, and address technical accounting issues arising from business transactions or the implementation of new accounting pronouncements. Due to the fast-paced and high growth nature of the Company, the candidate must be detail-oriented, maintain an inquisitive mindset, and have the ability to operate effectively and independently in a dynamic environment to help drive Confluents continued growth. The ideal candidate is an experienced CPA with 5+ years of total progressively responsible experience and with a combination of Big 4 and public company financial reporting experience. **What You Will Do:** + Own the completion of financial statements and related disclosures + Assess the financial statement and disclosure impact of complex transactions and draft technical memos to support conclusions reached + Establish, develop, and maintain the company accounting policies + Be a proactive liaison with external auditors to drive timely closure of financial statement reviews and technical accounting matters + Monitor, assess, and implement new accounting pronouncements applicable to the company and partner with stakeholders to analyze the impact + Be a trusted business partner and advisor to various stakeholders within Accounting, Finance, Legal, and other cross-functional teams + Take initiative for process improvements to scale and optimize the financial reporting proces + Develop and maintain effective internal control over financial reporting, ensuring Sarbanes Oxley requirements are met **What You Will Bring:** + BA / BS degree in Accounting or Finance + CPA with 8+ years of progressively responsible experience + Combination of Big 4 and public company financial reporting experience + Precise, analytical, organized, and self-motivated + Excellent knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including ability to research accounting literature, establish a position, and develop procedures for implementation + Strong interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of at the compan + Strong to advanced Excel skill + Donnelley Financial Solutions experience a plus + Enterprise software and / or SaaS industry experience a plus **Come As You Are** At Confluent, equality is a core tenet of our culture. This position has an annual estimated salary of $143,800 - $169,020, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package.
