Payroll Manager Rochester, NY ( • Association Office Job Type Full-time Description $66,000-$72,000 annually plus generous benefits Under the direction of the SVP of Human Resources the Payroll Manager is responsible for the management of all payroll functions for all employees. A primary focus of this position is maintaining data integrity as it relates to payroll and the HRIS system. The position is responsible for demonstrating YMCA leadership competencies to ensure the mission, purpose, image, and core values of the YMCA of Greater Rochester is conveyed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Manage and oversee the administration of all payroll functions for the Association. · Accountable for the accuracy and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll in accordance with federal, state and local regulations and wage/hour laws · Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates. Ensure accurate processing of payroll transactions and deductions for benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions. · Maintain system integrity by acting as Systems Adminstrator for payroll and HRIS system. · Review and process requests for manual payroll checks. · Manage reconciliation of benefit bills on a monthly basis and related G/L accounts. · Complete bi-weekly YMCA retirement payment processing and transmittal. Assist with other necessary transactions and discrimination testing with YMCA retirement. · Supervise Payroll staff and ensure internal controls and best payroll practices are adhered to. · Promptly respond to any payroll-related questions from employees and managers. · Partner with Finance/Accounting team to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll reporting. · Work with Human Resources to ensure benefit data is accurate and processed in a timely manner. · Manage smooth year-end processes, including taxable fringe benefits, W-2 forms and addendums and benefit accruals. · Work with SVP of Human Resources to develop and maintain payroll policies and procedures. · Create reports for management as required. Manage and respond to all audits requests - internal and external relating to payroll. Requirements · Must have a high school diploma. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred. · Minimum of three years' payroll experience including working with payroll/HRIS systems. Paylocity experience preferred. · At least three years' experience in a supervisory role. · Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage several projects at once and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. · Polished, professional demeanor with excellent written and spoken communication skills. · Have strong analytical and critical thinking skills with demonstrated ability of analyzing and presenting data. · Strong Microsoft Office software skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: · Must be able to sit and stand for extended duration of shift. · Must be able to lift up to twenty-five pounds. Salary Description $66,000-$72,000 annually
