Senior Survey CAD TechnicianCincinnati, OhioJob DescriptionYour Impact As a Senior Survey CAD Technician, you will support office and field staff by processing incoming information and producing final land surveying project deliverables. You will report to the Project Manager and perform technical tasks utilizing the latest technology in the AEC industry. You will work on exciting projects ranging from renewables, to terrestrial scanning, to UAV processing. You will help increase project efficiency and client satisfaction by:Coordinate with Project Manager to ensure project requirements are met in the office & the fieldProcess field data and perform initial CAD work on land survey deliverablesQuality control assistance of client specific deliverablesMonitor field crew production & quality assuranceTrain field office staff in best practices & standardsProvide field support for the land survey staff as neededPerform initial QC of field deliverables according to standards & best practicesPerform QC checks on-site to verify the quality of workDaily processing of data, including evaluating accuracy and sufficiency, & ensuring compliance to applicable regulations, professional, & industry standards related to boundary calculations, legal descriptions, etc.Perform deed research, deed plotting & map checksPrepare land survey plats and drawings, legal descriptions & alignment drawingsProvide technical office support (brief & de-brief) for field crewsPerform quality control checks of land survey plats and drawings prepared by othersEnsure schedules & productivity objectives for preparation of land survey plats & drawings are metWhat You Bring5+ years of experience in a technician role, preferably within a Survey departmentStrong computer and technical skills, including AutoCAD Civil 3DExperience with Arc GIS Pro, MicroStation, Trimble Business Center, Revit or similar application is a plusProficiency in technical math; Geometry and Trigonometry are a plusWho We AreFor over thirty years, SAM has built a reputation as a trusted, knowledgeable, and innovative partner.
