STRATEGIC STAFFING SOLUTIONS (S3) HAS AN OPENING!Title: Metrologist Location: Detroit, MI ON-SITEDuration: 6+ Months (Contract to Hire) Role Type: W2 contract engagementJob SummaryResponsible for repairing and calibrating measuring and test equipment and standards.Maintains accurate records of instrument calibration and work performed.Key AccountabilitiesMaintains and implements the measuring and test equipment programImplements and provides feedback to ensure the metrology program is effective, efficient, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.Develop and implement troubleshooting plans to improve upon the metrology program.Strictly follows procedures, is alert to safety and attends selected metrology plies with ALARA principles and radiation protection policies and principles.Minimum Education & Experience RequirementsAssociate degree in the physical sciencesmetrology or PMEL Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory school and five years experience in measurement and calibration work.Other QualificationsMust work shifts as puter Skills: Spreadsheets, word processing and data base managers.Must be proficient in various specific testing methodologies and techniques.Knowledge of basic electronic and mechanical theory.Knowledge in Fluke METCAL software.Knowledge of the industry standard publication IEEE498, ANSIN45.2, and 10CFR50 AppendixMust be able to lift and carry precision tools and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.The S3 DifferenceThe global mission of S3 is to build trusting relationships and deliver solutions that positively impact our customers, our consultants, and our communities.
