IT PMO Process and Governance Lead needed for a hybrid contract role in in Newark, NJ. *One day a week onsiteJob Description: Our Client is seeking a IT PMO Process & Governance Lead who is motivated by variety, is seeking a challenging environment for professional growth, and is interested in supporting large information technology projects for one of our clients, who is one of the top 10 largest electric companies in the U.S., headquartered in New Jersey.The IT PMO Process & Governance Lead oversees the portfolio and works with the overall IT team to complete projects, monitor the portfolio health and contribute to yearly project budget planningResponsibilities:Develop, maintain and improve IT ProcessesGather the data outputs from projects and produces reports and forecasts about past and future project performance. Managing data and finding insight that can be used by PMO Operations Manager that can then improve projects and how they functionPrepare data and reports for project managers, the PMO team, project stakeholders, and the C-suite, with an understanding of the different needs of eachReview and monitor all IT project performance and perform regular process compliance checks and prepare reports for sameManage and recommend required improvements to all project methodologiesDraft new and improving existing project management office policies and processesWork with PMO teams to ensure practices are well communicated and understoodDevelop needed MS Office material supporting the deliverables of the reporting manager across PMO Operations and IT Process Transformation workRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.5-7 years proven work experience in large PMO setup and Project Management methodologies (PMLC)Background in data validation and analysisStrong oral and written communication skillsSelf-driven and have demonstrated the ability to work independently with minimum guidanceDemonstrated multitasking ability, flexibility, problem solving skills and a consistent record of on time delivery and customer serviceStrong analytical ability and tAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with othersExpert in Excel andBasic knowledge of PPM toolsBasic SQL knowledge and tool configuration skillsetPreferred:Previous work in Smartsheet is a plusPrevious Project Management Office experienceRelevant trainingcertificationsIn compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the pay rate for this role is $40-52.00hr.
