This role can work on-site at either our Walnut Creek or Irvine offices. The System Engineer role is to design, install, monitor, maintain, and performance tune development, testing and production servers while ensuring high levels of data availability. Develops, implements, and oversees server policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of systems and their accompanying software. Responsible for all activities related to the administration, support, and design of a variety of systems. What you will be doing: Develop complex, embedded systems that require knowledge of schematic design, product design, etc. Understanding of Active Directory Role Server, and OU architecture. Understanding of principles surrounding DNS and DHCP. Monitor existing systems to ensure structural integrity, file sharing drives, Windows domain, and other systems. Manages Microsoft Exchange Server, Mailbox, knowledge of DAG, Databases, mail flow (design and implementation). Manage O365 subscriptions, licenses, and user management. Proficiencies in writing scripts in the following (shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python). Communicate technical concepts and procedures to non-technical users in a format that is understandable. Maintains performance by monitoring, analyzing, tuning developing, testing, evaluating, and installing program modifications and enhancements. Ability to solve complex problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standards may exist and critical thinking is needed for effective resolutions. Other duties as assigned Who you are: Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred, and a minimum of 5 years experience required. Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer - Preferred Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate - Preferred Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate - Office 365 - Preferred Ability to quickly identify cause of technical problems and provide resolution. This position provides technical deliverables related to the implementation of the application and application enhancements and liaison with Developers, Application Support, Infrastructure and Security. This position has responsibility to assess, make analytical decisions, and develop implementation/upgrade roadmap for the specific technology functional domain, in accordance with global, regional, and local initiatives. Must have the ability to quickly identify cause of technical problems and provide resolution. Expert in identified technical domain, providing a point of escalation to the IT Service Desk as well as other System Administrators. Assist with the evaluation, selection, and development of platform services. Provide technical leadership at all times. Liaise with Data Center providers and Global Operations to develop and maintain automation, monitoring, and processes to assure operational uptime and efficiency. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to follow procedures and documentation in problem resolution. Develop clear and concise documentation for end users, support teams, and management. Rotational on-call responsibility. #LI-AS1 Salary Range: $78,000-100,000 annually Final compensation package will be determined by the work experience, education, and/or skill level of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with geographic market data.
