Plant Facilities Engineer

Job Title: Plant Facilities EngineerJob Description Actalent is currently seeking an experienced Facilities Project Engineer with a partner of ours in the pharmaceutical industry. This company is one of the largest pharmaceutical manufacturing companies in Columbus, Ohio and is a trusted source of over 750 high-quality generic, specialty, and branded pharmaceutical products that hospitals, physicians, and pharmacists need to treat their patients across North America, the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe. Responsibilities: - Provide facility maintenance and engineering support for HVAC and Utility systems, including air handling, dust collection, compressed air, chilled water, hot water, and steam systems. - Help to maintain a "state of control" over HVAC and Utility systems by assuring maintenance of as-built drawings and system documentation. - Assist in the development of standard operating procedures for maintenance and operation of HVAC and Utility equipment. - For capital and upgrade projects, support the project manager in project drawing and design reviews to ensure site specifications and standards are met, and that good engineering practices are followed. - Manage capital improvement projects, including defining user requirements, estimating budgets, construction management, and commissioning/qualification. - Track energy consumption for HVAC and Utility systems. Hard Skills Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field within engineering Project management experience with HVAC and Utility systems in an industrial environment Experience in manufacturing environment working with capital improvement projects Knowledge of HVAC equipment specification, duct design, room pressure control, filtration systems, psychometrics, and industrial ventilation Job Type This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s). Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Columbus, Ohio. Work Environment Clean, state-of-art facility with mix of office space, labs, and manufacturing area. Flexibility around hours. Minimum 40 hours expected with core hours being 9am-3pm. Flexibility around start and end times as long as you are there for core hours.
