The mission of this full-time position is to process all new business applications, orders medical records, helps manage life insurance cases as back up, follow up on submitted policy requests, provides support with inforce business and assists Vice President and/or Office Manager with administrative duties. Primary Responsibilities Scanning of all new life insurance forms firm wide into DocuPace. Order and follow up on medical records. Follow up on service requests. Trained to be back up to the New Business Account Manager. Provide administrative assistance to Vice President, Insurance Operation, Office Manager and/or New Business Account Manager. Assist with AIMCOR policies. Back up receptionist (occasional when main back up may not be available). Other duties may be assigned to meet the business needs. Essential Characteristics Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. This position requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy. Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization. Work requires attention to detail in such things as composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands. Education, Training & Experience High School diploma Two or more years of experience in an office environment Working knowledge of life insurance - preferred, not required Computer Equipment and Software Proficiency in the use of computer programs for: Microsoft Office Suite Databases Spreadsheets Access Internet Proficiency in the use of office equipment: Computer Voice messaging systems Fax Photo copier Typing of at least 50 wpm Working Conditions This position requires working in an office environment. This position usually works a standard work week. This position rarely works overtime. This position rarely involves travel. We are committed to providing an accessible work environment.
