The Account Manager (Inside Sales) plays a pivotal role in maintaining and growing relationships with existing customers by providing accurate quotes, processing parts orders, and ensuring customer requirements are met efficiently. This role requires a basic understanding of machinery or a willingness to learn, as well as the ability to anticipate parts replacement needs. The Account Manager also ensures optimal stock levels to support internal service needs and meet customer supply demands without delays. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, representing the company and its core values in every interaction. Provide accurate quotes and process parts orders in a timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction. Collaborate with internal departments, such as shipping, production, and purchasing, to ensure smooth order fulfillment and to meet customer needs. Engage with customers regularly to address any changes to production schedules or delivery requirements. Use Epicor and other internal systems to manage workflow efficiently and maintain accurate records. Assist with pulling parts, shipping processes, and other miscellaneous tasks as needed to ensure efficient operations. Communicate with outside vendors and service providers to track progress and ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Verify that products meet all specifications and quality standards before shipping. Maintain clear and traceable documentation of all customer interactions and commitments. Regularly review open order reports and follow up with customers to ensure alignment with schedules and expectations. Provide exemplary customer service by anticipating needs, addressing issues proactively, and keeping customers informed at all stages. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of parts inventory and lead times to ensure smooth internal servicing and avoid delays in customer orders. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for extended periods. Regular movement between office and production areas to inspect products and collaborate with colleagues. Must be able to walk, stand, and inspect products on the production floor as needed. Ability to take stairs in office and production areas. Occasionally required to lift objects up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity needed to inspect products and read detailed documents and specifications. Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with customers and colleagues. Education, Work Experience, and Proficiencies: Associate's degree or equivalent work experience (minimum 2 years), with manufacturing industry experience preferred. Basic understanding of machinery and parts operations, or willingness to learn. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Epicor or similar ERP systems. Strong customer service skills with a focus on relationship building. Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and time-management skills. Team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to collaboration.
