What does the Experitec Corporate Paralegal / Legal Assistant do? Seeking detail-oriented and motivated Corporate Paralegal / Legal Assistant to support managing commercial contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and customer forms. Key Responsibilities: Conducting legal research pertaining to contracts, customer agreements, and regulatory issues while preparing summaries and reports. Supporting the preparation, drafting, and negotiation of commercial contracts. Escalating complex legal issues to external legal counsel for specialized review and guidance. Completing customer forms, including questionnaires, surveys, and other documentation, for legal accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards. Processing certificates of insurance and uploading them to customer portals to ensure compliance with contractual insurance requirements. Proofreading legal documents for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and numerical accuracy. Demonstrating strong PC skills and a commitment to confidentiality and quality work. Applying knowledge of basic contract law, providing general legal support, reviewing correspondence, and assisting with due diligence efforts and compliance-related tasks. This position is part of our Operations team with the specific title of Corporate Paralegal / Legal Assistant based on experience and skill level. Position will report to our Chief Financial Officer. Required Skills, Experience & Abilities: • Associate's degree with two or more years of relevant work experience OR high school diploma with four or more years of relevant work experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience. • Two or more years of experience drafting, negotiating and reviewing commercial contracts. • Excellent analytical and research skills with strong organizational ability, attention to detail and effective phone etiquette. • Strong understanding of legal procedures and terminology. • Ability to work independently conducting legal research and gathering relevant information. • Ability to draft legal documents and client correspondence. • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and competing priorities while coordinating timelines and communicating status updates to internal partners in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external partners. • Demonstrated track record of successfully handling sensitive confidential material with discretion, and consistently demonstrating an elevated level of professionalism. • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within a diverse team. • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Outlook email, and basic computer skills. • Ability to work a hybrid schedule with some days in the office and some remotely. • Ability to work as a self-starter in an unstructured environment with the ability to make decisions quickly to move toward completing company goals. • Flexible, assertive, stress-tolerant, and optimistic mindset, with a willingness to adapt to evolving project requirements and deadlines. • Ability to lift and move up to 10 lbs. Preferred Skills, Experience & Abilities: • Paralegal certification. • Bachelor's degree. • Five or more years of experience in commercial contracts. • Three or more years of experience reviewing customer service agreements. • Two or more years of experience in an industrial services or manufacturing environment. • Prior experience in office management. • Experience working collaboratively to manage legal files, organize documents, and maintain records to ensure compliance with deadlines. • Prior experience as a supervisor. • Experience utilizing legal research databases. • Experience suggesting process improvements that impacted the business. • Track record of success producing clear and concise legal documents. • Advanced ability for strong follow-up while embracing "no equal" service by giving and seeking out constructive feedback and coaching. • Track record of success implementing process improvements and adding value to the organization.
