Responsibilities: Work with Mechanical Designers and Controls Engineers during the design process to create a control system that will enable the machine to perform its intended function safely and reliably. Formulate and produce complete electrical design package which include detailed schematics, cable routing diagrams, panel layouts, bills of materials, and material requisition forms, based on standard specifications, and the customer's requirements. Develop and maintain detailed electrical prints, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications and standards. Size electrical components, including breakers, transformers, wires, and ancillary equipment, to meet system requirements and safety standards. Review and redline existing electrical prints, making necessary updates and corrections based on design changes or project feedback. Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure that electrical designs integrate seamlessly with mechanical and structural components. Conduct calculations and analyses to support equipment sizing and selection, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, including design reports and specification sheets, for internal and external stakeholders. Stay current with industry standards, codes, and regulations, and ensure compliance in all design work. Provide technical support during the installation and commissioning phases, addressing any electrical-related issues that arise. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 3+ years of experience in electrical design or engineering. Experience with Electrical CAD Software such as AutoCAD Electrical, E3, E-Plan or equivalent Familiar with designing machines in accordance with UL508A, NFPA70, NFPA79 Experience designing Industrial Automation Machines, including related equipment such as pneumatics, motors, servos, VFD's, proximity sensors, cameras, lasers, remote I/O modules, robots, HMI's and PC's.
