Under the supervision of the Lab Processing Supervisor, the lab biller works directly with the various departments within the lab to ensure all testing are properly coded with all the necessary Information to send to the Billing Department. In this role you will: Assign appropriate diagnosis codes and procedure codes to ensure accurate billing. Verify and update patient insurance information. Collaborate closely with laboratory staff and administration regarding billing related issues. Monitor daily billing reports. Create and export information on an excel spreadsheet. Interact in a positive manner with supervisors, managers, and co-workers. Understand and observe all confidentiality and HIPPA regulations. Navigate and perform tasks on Labdaq and ONCO EMR. We require: High School Diploma Knowledge of Excel, spreadsheets, ICD Codes, Medical Terminology, problem solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Minimum of 1 year experience in billing (preferred) Salary: Starting at $22.54/Hr.
