About the job RN - Med Surg / Renal / Transplant (Nights) - 53700 Confident Staff Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Med Surg / Renal / Transplant Nurse on the night shift. This is a temporary contract position located in Des Moines, IA.As a Med Surg / Renal / Transplant Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with a variety of medical conditions, including renal failure and those undergoing transplant procedures. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, treatments, and patient education- Monitor and document patient progress and vital signs- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatments, and self-care techniques- Assist with procedures and surgeries as needed- Maintain accurate and complete patient records- Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures- Maintain a safe and clean work environment- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and continuing education opportunitiesQualifications:- Active RN license in the state of Iowa- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med Surg, Renal, or Transplant nursing- BLS certification- ACLS certification preferred- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Flexibility to work night shifts and weekends as neededAt Confident Staff Solutions, we are committed to providing our employees with a positive and supportive work environment.
