Working at Cargill is an opportunity to thrive a place to develop your career to the fullest while engaging in meaningful work that makes a positive impact around the globe We depend on creative, responsible, hardworking individuals like you to operate our business successfully Job Type: Full Time Shift(s) Available: 1st Shift Compensation: $31.00-$36.00/hr A Typical Work Day May Include: Inspect, test, and diagnose faulty operations and parts Perform regular equipment safety and maintenance inspections Diagnose and repair malfunctions in diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and other components of heavy machinery Disassemble and reassemble heavy equipment and components Interpret technical manuals, diagnostic charts, and schematics to repair equipment Order parts necessary for equipment repair and maintenance Communicate with equipment operators to understand equipment problems and plan necessary repairs Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operational performance Keep detailed records of serviced machines to maintain a history of repairs for each piece of equipment Perform major and minor repairs on heavy equipment and trucks. Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks on equipment, including inspection, tire rotation, and oil changes. Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components and identify necessary repairs. Work with operators to understand any issues and problems with the machinery. Use hydraulic jacks or hoist, as required, to complete repair jobs. What You Will Need: Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship Must be 18 years or older Basic computer skills Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written) Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above) Minimum of one year of experience with industrial electrical knowledge and mechanical maintenance trades Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice Equal Opportunity Employer, including Disability/Vet.
