As Manager of GIS, you'll mentor a team of GIS professionals focused on supporting business needs for geospatial data management, analysis, cartography and reporting. You will support multiple departments and hundreds of internal customers through the work of the team. Responsibilities/Expectations: Coordinates workforce planning and career development activities for team members Tracks, prioritizes and assigns tasks and project management; reports results to leaders Supports other business units by assessing their needs and providing data, analytics, maps and reporting through the efforts of the team Builds, maintains and systematically improves GIS policies, processes, standards and procedures Develops and runs key performance indicators and leads continuous improvement initiatives Other duties as assigned Education/Years of Experience: Required: Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Cartography, MIS, or Computer Science and a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in GIS or related technology or energy field Preferred: Master's degree in GIS, Geography, Cartography, MIS, Computer Science and a minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressive experience in GIS in the energy industry or other employment in the energy industry Other Requirements: Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills Experience with Esri software PowerBI skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience in data management and/or data analytics Experience mentoring a team Preferred: Project management and process improvement experience Preferred: Experience using AutoCAD, FME, and/or Python Preferred: Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements for pipelines and facilities Preferred: Previous experience formally supervising a team About Houston (Williams Tower Location): Our Houston office is located in the Williams Tower, just steps from the Houston Galleria on Post Oak Boulevard, an area with more than 700 retailers, fine dining and hotels within two square miles.
