Job Description Candidate will be designing supporting structures and auxiliary equipment for new shop equipment All new machinery is purchased and not built, so there is no need to design industrial machinery in this role support structures candidate will design include: mezzanines, foundations, support columns and beams Candidate will be specifying and installing support equipment for the machinery (bridge cranes and ductwork) Candidate will primarily be designing utilizing AutoCAD 2d candidate will be supporting maintenance engineering and shut down projects Will be leading a project from design to installation including specifying evaluating and installing new equipment very hands on engineering role when supporting equipment installs will be considering industrial ventilation principles when managing machine install projects will be troubleshooting mechanical issues with new equipment (ex: hydraulic leaks, damaged hardware, etc.) MUST HAVE: AutoCAD 2d experience is a MUST ability to troubleshoot hydraulic machinery or instruct technicians how to experience designing structural supports for heavy machinery (mezzanines, machine supports, 10+ Years of mechanical engineering experience ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues on industrial equipment Associates degree in engineering is a MUST PREFERRED: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues on equipment understanding of industrial ventilation principles About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
