VENTURES OVERVIEW We are excited to add a Finance Manager to join our Ventures and Crypto Finance teams. Potential investment areas by segment include: Artificial Intelligence ("AI") and Machine Learning, Commerce Technology, Financial Technology (including digital currency), Healthcare IT and Services, Infrastructure Software and Security Software. POSITION DESCRIPTION The Finance Manager will partner with the Finance professionals in managing key tasks including, but not limited to, the following: Quarterly US GAAP Basis Reporting; annual US GAAP Basis audit Working with internal tax department and external advisers regarding tax implication of complex investment transactions Review of cash flow management, capital calls and cash and stock distributions Work with partners on portfolio company cap table/round modeling and liquidation analyses Create fund performance and waterfall analyses Review and analysis of portfolio company financials in preparation for quarterly partner portfolio review meetings Work with partners to assist in the preparation of quarterly portfolio company valuations & prepare summarized data for partner presentations Work with Investor Relations in preparation of presentation materials, information posted to investor website, fundraising documents Understand and document investment transactions; working with deal staff and outside advisors on deal closings and harvest transactions Analyze various fund activities to ensure compliance with partnership agreements Work with the CFO and VP Finance on projects to enhance the product of the team, department and firm Other ad hoc responsibilities QUALIFICATIONS 6-9 years in Public Accounting or related experience in an in-house accounting & finance role; demonstrated professional and academic achievement Self-starter with strong project management and follow-through skills Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects with the highest attention to detail. Creative problem solving ability and sound judgment Strong team player with an entrepreneurial predisposition and strong interpersonal skills Outstanding Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with Microsoft Access a plus EDUCATION CPA or MBA preferred Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting from a four-year college/university with a strong academic background (minimum 3.5 GPA) Bain Capital is an equal opportunity employer.
