SUMMARY: Provide oversight and supervision of the day-to-day operations of the mineral separation plant ensuring efficient safe production and optimizing utilization of resources. RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure compliance to federal, state, and company safety, environmental, and health policies. Recruit and train production personnel to ensure that safety, quality, production, and environmental standards are understood and maintained. Manage shift team leaders and operators and provide expertise and knowledge sharing of operational tasks, responsibilities, and duties. Coordinate with Mineral Engineering Group to plan daily production activities and direct shift team leaders to achieve production and quality targets. Ensure fuel and consumables are ordered and available for production schedule. Coordination for tracking and reporting of production data, training, and other developmental activities. Manage operational staff's schedule, team rosters, leave requests and other staffing tasks. Provide input for annual Processing Plant cost budgeting, monitor cost trends, and implement cost controls to ensure that budget targets are met. Ensure that plant equipment is properly maintained and that appropriate procedures are documented and followed to provide a safe and environmentally sound work environment. Manage the maintenance planning for the plant to ensure that plant equipment is available for production schedule. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 5 years of industrial production experience High school diploma Tertiary education desirable. Supervisory / Management Training
