Research Coordinator Hourly/ACA Requisition ID: # of Openings: 1 Location: US-UT-Logan Category: Research (non-Faculty) Position Type: Non-benefited (hourly) Part-Time Job Classification: Non-Benefited College: E Eccles Jones Coll of Ed & Hum Svs Department: Communicative Disorders & Deaf Educ Advertised Salary: $31.28 per hour Overview We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our team as a part-time Research Coordinator in the Emma Eccles Jones Early Childhood Education and Research Center at Utah State University. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day management of research projects, including coordinating study activities, managing participant recruitment, and ensuring compliance with research protocols. This position offers an opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in research coordination while working with faculty, graduate students and undergraduate students in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities The Research Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the research lab. Key duties include coordinating and managing research activities, such as participant recruitment and enrollment, scheduling assessment and intervention sessions, and ensuring adherence to study protocols. The coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely data collection records, organizing and managing participant compensation, and assisting with testing, data analysis and data entry. Additionally, the position involves ensuring compliance with institutional regulations, managing communication between members of the research team and external collaborators, and providing administrative support for grant-related activities, including progress reports and budget tracking. The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between investigators, research assistants, and parents of participants, ensuring the smooth execution of the research projects. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., communication disorders, public health, psychology, education, social sciences, or a related discipline). Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively handle multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interactions with research team members, participants, and external collaborators. Attention to detail to ensure accurate data collection, documentation, and protocol adherence. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications Experience in research coordination or project management, preferably within an academic or clinical setting. Familiarity with research methodologies and protocols, including IRB submissions and compliance with ethical standards. Proficiency in data management software** (e.g., Access, REDCap, Excel) and familiarity with data collection processes. Experience administering norm-referenced and/or experimenter-designed tests to school-age children. Experience with a variety of USU's business policies and procedures (purchasing, pCard reconciliation, etc.).
