Accounting Manager CINC Systems is the largest provider of accounting and management software in the community association management industry and the innovator behind accounting and banking integration. CINC is seeking an Accounting Manager to join the growing team at our Duluth office. Individuals in this role report to the VP of Accounting Services and work with all other departments to ensure customer needs are met. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The primary objective of an Accounting Manager is to ensure exceptional delivery of accounting services to our clients by mentoring and coaching junior staff members and Accounts Payable Specialists in following best practices using the CINC Systems software. Furthermore, work together with VP of Accounting Services to develop recommendations on areas where the system or our processes may improve so that we may continue to enhance our software and train all our clients on best practices. Coach and lead accounting staff in the department. Answer questions related to accounting procedures and software processes. Monitor & approve time-keeping of direct reports for payroll processing. Complete performance appraisals for all direct reports. Manage workflow; Ensure accuracy and quality work is provided to clients. Develop, maintain, and implement training material for accounting staff. Interview and evaluate potential candidates for the Accounting Services department. Train new accounting hires. Identify areas of opportunities for improvement as it relates to direct reports. Serve as the main point of contact for assigned management company clients. Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports for a variety of homeowners' associations. Manage and process the addition of new communities to clients' databases, including general ledger setup, homeowner setup, billing, late fees and bank transfers. Ensure all steps are taken to close an association as needed. Manage and assist with the onboarding and implementation of new Accounting Services clients. Build relationships and establish rapport with Accounting Services clients. Provide journal entry review & approval for junior staff Consult and assist in maintaining client-specific procedures for accurate and consistent processing of accounting transactions Collaborate with VP of Accounting Services to provide consultation as needed for non-accounting services clients, for which detailed accounting knowledge and CINC knowledge are required Complete other accounting services duties as required to deliver services detailed within the respective contracts or service level agreements Share feedback for enhancements to facilitate increased efficiencies which may be evaluated and considered for future development plans. Lead special projects that may be assigned periodically. Exemplify CINC's values while carrying out its mission and the priorities established by the management team Perform the following processes: -Review batches, including ACH -Post utility charges -Post AP adjustments -Process or supervise entry of client payroll entries -Set up & monitor late fee processing -Import budgets -Generate billing -Process monthly bank transfers Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or a combination of education and experience. What We'd Like To See In A Candidate: Accounting professionals are typically extremely successful in this role when they possess the following: Seven (7) or more years of experience as a full-service accountant, working on a variety of accounting software products. Efficiently managing the accounting services of a multi-client environment is a plus. "CAN DO" attitude: A professional leader that is not afraid to roll up their sleeves to ensure that department goals are met by deadlines. A thorough understanding of basic financial statements and accounting rules is required, along with exceptional attention to detail and demonstrated problem solving skills. Minimum of two (2) years of management experience within the accounting industry. Experience supervising or leading accounting staff, working in community association industry or outsourced accounting is a plus. Microsoft office and accounting software experience required. Proficiency in Excel is strongly desired. Individual will use CINC Systems, Sales Force, and other technology programs as needed. Experience in the banking industry is preferred. Proficiency in Excel is strongly desired. Strong accounting skills must be exhibited, as well as an ability to reason and troubleshoot system exceptions. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both verbal and written format is necessary.
