The Connecticut base pay range for this position is from $116,275- $142,025. Salary will be based on prior experience related to the skills required for this position. Job Overview: The Manager, External Reporting & Technical Accounting will be responsible for supporting the Company's financial filing process with the Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC"). Direct reporting to the Director, Technical Accounting, this individual will be tasked to work with all stakeholders across the company on SEC reporting matters (indirect reporting to the Director of External Reporting) and technical accounting support. Responsibilities: Support the planning, coordination, and preparation of the Company's SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K Earnings Release Tables); Keep up-to-date on emerging SEC guidelines and new and proposed U.S. GAAP accounting standards to determine the potential disclosure implications to the Company's consolidated financial statements; Prepare quarterly and annual disclosure checklists; Support the External Reporting team to liaise with the Investor Relations, Treasury and Legal functions (i.e. support earnings documents, debt offerings, analyst presentation materials, BOD presentations, etc.); Prepare quarterly management book provided to senior management; Provide support to the Sustainability & Climate function with respect to the various ESG disclosure regimes (e.g. CSRD, California, SEC) including designing and implementing the appropriate level of internal controls Provide support as needed surrounding specialized accounting areas including but not limited to impairment assessments of goodwill, indefinite-lived intangible assets and long-lived assets, pension accounting, share-based compensation, assessment of reportable segments and reporting units, lease accounting and diluted shares Gain exposure to technical accounting consultations by providing support to the Director of Technical Accounting Support the external auditors, including the preparation of PBCs (prepared by client schedules) and responding to inquiries; Support and adhere to strong internal control policies and procedures, including identifying areas for improvement that support efficient and timely SEC filing; and Collaborate with key stakeholders to support department initiatives.
