Reference #: THE POSITION Are you a highly motivated, detailed-orientated person with excellent organizational skills? The Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking an Administrative Officer to coordinate the institution's compliance with department policy and federal Public Safety Application (PREA) standards. If you enjoy working in an office setting and have a knack for analysis, we'd like to hear from you! DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an Administrative Officer 1, you will provide program coordination and administrative assistance to the PREA Compliance Manager and serve as the point of contact for PREA related issues within the institution. You will also be responsible for ensuring proper reporting, tracking, information gathering, and providing appropriate notifications in support of the PREA federal standards and internal DOC PREA plans. Additionally, you will coordinate and schedule facility sexual abuse incident review committee meetings and ensure documentation and tracking of all sexual abuse and harassment allegations made are completed and received within specified timeframes. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.5 hour work week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $50,836.00 (before taxes). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements: Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
