Job Title: Quality EngineerJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to lead and facilitate the implementation of processes and internal audits in accordance with AS9100D standards. The successful candidate will coordinate with Quality Technicians and inspectors, drive corrective actions and failure analysis, and conduct training on Business Management System (BMS) procedures. This role requires participation in Product Readiness Reviews (PRR) and coordination of final inspection activities. The Quality Engineer will utilize methodologies such as DMAIC, FMEA, PPAP, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and ANOVA. Additionally, the role supports the development and improvement of manufacturing processes, applying Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodology to enhance productivity, quality, and reduce lead times. Responsibilities include performing process capability analysis, implementing Inspection and Quality Plans, conducting Gemba studies, leading root cause analysis, and collaborating on the design and development of manufacturing workflows and equipment layout. The Quality Engineer will engage in engineering improvement activities, provide hands-on support for production floor processes, implement best practices, and act as a change agent promoting continuous improvement. Monitoring and ensuring the sustainment of implemented improvements at an operational level will also be key duties. Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Arlington, Virginia. This role will involve collaboration with various engineering functions and suppliers, with a focus on improving cost, cycle time, and quality.
