Job Title: Maintenance 2nd class Shift/Hours: 2nd, 2:30pm-11:00pm Department/Group: Maintenance Position Type: KV Union Location: Kulpsville, PA Job Family/Grade 11 Reports to: Supervisor Position Purpose Summary - Electro-mechanical technician primarily tasked with executing preventative maintenance work orders and aiding advanced millwrights with production equipment repairs. Job Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Comply with all federal and state environmental, health and safety regulations as well as any safety policies and protocols outlined by the company • Must be able to perform work with limited supervision or assistance. Must be able to follow written/verbal instructions associated with all maintenance tasks. Be involved with all continuous improvement processes that will improve the overall efficiency of the department. Examples 6S, Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma Execute light electrical repairs related to plant infrastructure and equipment related failures. E.g. E-stops, proximity sensors, light curtains, relays, fuses. Advanced skills in hydraulic repairs including pumps, lines, and cylinder rebuilds. Ability to make minor repairs to maintenance shop tooling or equipment. Understanding of maintenance best practices related to alignment, vibration, oil, and lubrication.• Record all work information in the GT Computerized Maintenance Management Software via company issued tablet. Ability to grow in overall knowledge of equipment repair, assembly, troubleshooting, and assessing the performance of all equipment, tools, instruments, buildings, utility infrastructure, and grounds within the site. This will be tracked for potential department progression.• Ability to replace failed instrumentation components with like for like replacement. For example, temperature controllers, proximity switches, solid state relays.• Perform all duties in a timely and safe manner.• Perform all work in accordance with Company's Safety, Environmental, and Quality Policy, and Company Rules.• Perform miscellaneous duties within the entire interior or exterior of the site as directed by Supervision. Basic knowledge of following subjects/trades preferred. Motor circuits Electrical control systems Fabrication Welding Hydraulics Power & Transmission Pneumatics Lubrication Predictive technologies OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform associated paperwork such as: Equipment maintenance records. Updating technical documents. Carry and use, during working hours, a portable communications device issued by the company. Operate material handling equipment, forklifts, and aerial man-lifts. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • High School Diploma / GED • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience performing essential duties and responsibilities in an industrial manufacturing environment. Willingness to proactively stay on top of relevant maintenance technological advancements and subjects via continuous education or training. Achieve a passing score of 65% or better on the Ramsay multi-craft entry exam. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs. without the use of mechanical lifting devices. • Ability to continuously work in positions requiring grasping and repetitive movement. • Ability to frequently work in positions requiring kneeling, standing, walking, climbing and performing repetitive movement tasks. • Ability to work in positions involving heights, confined spaces and temperature extremes.
