Position Overview: The Commercial Superintendent will oversee all phases of commercial construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day operations on commercial construction sites, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work, addressing any issues promptly. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety on site. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily reports, schedules, and budgets. Liaise with clients and stakeholders to provide project updates and resolve any concerns. Train and mentor site personnel, fostering a positive work environment. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred). Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction supervision. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. OSHA certification and first aid/CPR certification are a plus.
