Requisition ID: Mainframe Programmer Analyst with .NET Development Project Till- 03/25/2025 Rate: Hartford CT, Hybrid Description: The agency desires to maintain a hybrid work schedule. Two days per week onsite minimum. Due to the nature of the upcoming work, face-to-face discussions are most productive especially at the beginning of large project planning sessions. Provide general support for CT DMV licensing applications. The upcoming initiative includes the re-platforming of the mainframe-based licensing system. The candidate must be proficient with mainframe platform skills, including CICS, batch analysis, and SOAP web services. With the licensing system moving to a new platform, necessary skills include .NET development and web services. Advanced skills in developing Restful web services are a primary consideration for this engagement. The project that we are gearing up for is the refactoring of a mainframe application to a modern underlying infrastructure. The candidate will be expected to assist with the transition of the legacy mainframe application from CICS, COBOL, VSAM to a .NET framework, C#, SQL environment. The Ideal Candidate: Proficient in .NET, C#, and SQL. Strong understanding of CICS, COBOL, VSAM to support the legacy system transition. Strong skills for developing RESTful APIs to support data exchange between various systems.
